My Thoughts and Opinions on Breath of the Wild

I know I'm late to the party and the game was announced two months ago but I just want to share my honest thoughts and opinions about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Let me just say the trailer was awesome!



When the game was announced I didn't know until my good friends on Facebook shared Links to the videos on my wall so I watched it. There were so many things I loved about the trailer and that was the graphics, the music and Link's new design. At first I didn't like Link's new design because he wasn't wearing Link's iconic green tunic and hat instead he's wearing a blue tunic that resembles his blue crawfish shirt from the Baton of Winds for Gamecube and Link has a ponytail which is weird because Link's hair wasn't always that long to begin with. After I watched the trailer I watched Nintendo's live gameplay stream. In the stream Link awoke in a stone basin full of water in his underwear? or swim trunks? idk followed by a mysterious voice telling him to wake up which Zelda fans like myself believe it to be Princess Zelda. Yes Link wakes up half naked.... hmmmm sexy! ♥…♥

So Link went to get clothes from these conveniently placed wooden treasure chests and Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma jokingly said to Bill Trinen that you can practically make Link run naked if you wanted to and Bill Trinen said that would make Link vulnerable. During one of the other parts of the stream there were these Nintendo  girls who were showing off the gameplay right? and they made Link run shirtless in the freezing cold they were Link fangirls like me. The freezing cold slowly took away Link's health so they made Link eat red hot chilly peppers to make him stay  warm instead of making Link change to winter clothes to keep him warm. Another thing I liked was how Link could pick up his enemy's weapons to use as his own but the downside to that is those weapons and shields will eventually break. In the Baton of Winds for the Gamecube Link could pick up his enemies weapons but he couldn't personally add it to his arsenal. Link could even use a wooden pot lid as a fucking shield and he can use an axe to cut down a tree to use as a bridge now that's resourceful!


This game will be coming out in Spring of 2017 when idk I hope it's on my birthday though. The game will be for the Nintendo Wii U and NX, which will be using cartridges instead of disks but that's just a rumor and I hope it's not true! If it is I hope Nintendo uses N64 cartridges those were my favorite type of cartridges by far! Also there's alot of theories to where this game takes place here's one video on one theory which I can somewhat agree on.






Most fans speculate this game takes place in the Era of Decline, other fans say it takes place in the Adult timeline because Koroks from the Baton of Winds show up, and fans think it takes place before or after Skyward Sword before Minish Cap. Personally I'm taking these theories with a grain of salt because I don't know and Eiji Aonuma said to let the fans figure it out for themselves. Anyways those are my thoughts and opinions and I'm happy Nintendo is taking inspirationfrom the first Zelda game for the Famicom Disk System and is implementing that in Breath of the Wild.
